ImpTC main function is to stop the supply of oil to the protection components in case of a turbine protection system activation and at the same time it discharges oil from the pipeline.

In case of activation of 1 of the 3 channels of the protection system, either due to a measurement error, failure of protection devices or failure of the trip block, an alarm occurs but not the trip block protection activation (turbine remain in operation).

Four pressure switches are installed on the trip block, through which the condition of the trip block is monitored. The pressure switches are connected to the turbine controller.

The trip block ImpTC can be applied in a flexible way to support different installations. The trip block will be automatically tested during operation as it requires an interface to an appropriate control solution.
